Another year has come and gone...but 2008 is bound to be great

As with everyone, we spent the last week running around doing Holiday things, so here is a recap of the excitement.

• We saw a wonderful performance of Wicked at the Fox with some of our neighbors
• Ate at Margaritas and visited the Shrine for my sister Jo's Birthday. We were glad her and Chandler were here from Los Angeles. Happy 3?st, Jo. ;-)
• I caught a wicked respiratory infection and took a trip to Urgent Care and to see my Dr.
• We were entertained with my nieces Nina & Gini opening their gifts on Christmas morning and then spent the day with my family and friends
• Our Boston Terrier Guinness stole a bag of dinner rolls that I made for Christmas Eve while we were gone on Christmas Day. He very cleverly hid them in unusual places throughout the house and then would go back for a snack now and then. There is nothing like crumby dog beds, sofa cracks, Christmas tree skirts, and baskets of clean laundry. Some would get angry, but we of course found it to be hilarious.
• Jason could not wait to use his new Christmas toy(finish nailer), so I got the real wood shelves in my pantry I have been dreaming of.
• We had Fish and Chips at Maggie O's(our favorite pre-game watering hole) for Jason's birthday, followed by a disappointing loss by the Blues to the Sharks.
• Baby got a new closet organizer and new bi-fold closet doors....Jason's handywork again
• Hannah & Julie stopped by my office and took me out to lunch on New Year's Eve
• Baby Madison tried twice to make her debut, but Dr. said its too early and sent Stefanie home
• We FINALLY made it to the neighborhood New Year's Eve party at the Derek & Teresa's house, right across the street. We want to congratulate Teresa for making it past midnight for the first time in 4 years. We had a great time and are truly blessed to have such kind and hilarious neighbors.
  

Well, with all of the excitement I nearly forgot the most important piece of information....

Hello 2nd trimester...

Goodbye vomiting, baby induced coma and messy house(at least for a few months)

Aside from the respiratory illness, I have been feeling great. I have been able to keep up with my errands and I am having the urge to do a little shopping for the baby. Jason was actually the first to break down, he found an adorable Christmas sleeper at Children's Place on one of his after work trips to the Mills. Jason working right next to the Mills does have its advantages.

Baby Development

• Baby will be born with 300 bones, some will fuse together to produce a total of 206 bones in adulthood
• Vocal cords have been fully formed, so if sound travelled through fluid we could hear baby crying. Thank goodness it only travels through air.
• All 20 teeth have made their debut in the baby's gums
• Baby is starting to practice breathing, it will inhale and exhale amniotic fluid to properly form the air sacs in the lungs
• Weight and Height have increased dramatically over the last month, estimated at 3 inches long and 20 oz in weight that's triple length and 50 times in weight

Next Thursday is another trip to the Dr, so more reports to follow. In the mean time, here is another photo of more of me. 5 pounds and 5.5 inches to the waistline!
