First full week at work...well almost

The first week of work has come and passed, and we almost made it a full week. Hayden ended up getting a bit of a virus and was sick Thur evening and most of Friday, so mommy got to use one of her sick days. He is all smiles now, despite a few sniffles. The first week was hard on mommy, but I am sure it will get easier. Hayden was starting to get adjusted to daycare and was not crying as much by the end of the week.

We got his 3 month photos taken on Sat afternoon, and he did a good job. I will post the proofs as soon as I get them.

We are getting set for another busy week, especially with daddy in Boston until Wed evening.

3 Months Old

It is hard to believe that my little guy is already 3 months old, and that my maternity leave has sadly come to and end. Luckily, I only have to go to the office 2 days a week so that will allow us more time together. I am not looking forward to Monday, it will be quite a tearful day :-(

I am also dreading the 1200 emails I have to catch up on(I already deleted 800 I knew were junk), and the downloading of 3 months of software updates to my laptop. I will spend most of the week reading email and rebooting my laptop, FUN!

Daddy is settling into his new job. He is finally going to get some new furniture for his big empty office(with windows even). He will also be starting his first project for their Braintree organization, which means that he will be travelling to Boston Aug 25th-27th.

We spent some time with the babysitter this week. We discussed Hayden's schedule and his quirks so that she is prepared for him. I am really glad that we found her, she is really great. It definitely makes the thought of leaving him a lot easier.

Mommy's funny

Daddy went back to work on Monday, so Hayden and Mommy have been entertaining themselves. Hayden has discovered that mommy is quite funny and laughs at her often. He is especially entertained with pat-a-cake and itsy bitsy spider. One more week together before mommy goes back to work on the 18th. Oh, I went to the Dr. last week for a funky belly button problem that turned out to be some extra skin and a slight hernia that should clear up on their own. I weighed 11 lbs 4 oz, Daddy thinks I am storing milk in my double chin.

I am 10 weeks old and sporting my cool red polo with a turtle embroidered on it.

Babysitter Hunt Over!

We have been interviewing babysitters for the last few weeks, and we have finally decided on one. She was the first that we went to visit and really made the rest of our visits quite disappointing. She is a former 5th grade teacher, she only keeps 5 children with a full time helper, and makes the kids all natural/organic meals from the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. We are going to go hang out with her on Monday morning so that Hayden can get to know her.

Push ups

Hayden has been doing quite well with his motoring. He has almost total control of his head, he is doing push ups on his tummy, and he is grasping items.

First trip to KY

We went to KY on July 11th to introduce Hayden to Jason's family. He was a very good traveler, but he had an upset tummy from mommy's medicine and did some screaming while we were there. We had to leave on Sunday since Daddy had an interview at Express Scripts on Monday.

6 Week Check Up

We went to the Dr. on Monday for Hayden's 6 week visit. He weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and was 21.25 inches long. He is in the 10th percentile for weight and height, and 15% for head circumference. Dr. Baer said that we won't really know where he is going to land until he is a little older though since he is still playing catch up. She was quite pleased with how he is doing. He got 5 shots, and was a very crabby boy for much of the evening, but he is all better now. We went for a hip ultrasound today which is protocol since he was breech. There does not appear to be any issues with his hips. He goes back to the Dr. in Sept.

Hayden's Birthday Party

Aunt Mimi just had to throw Hayden a due date birthday party on July 6th. So my family got together and we had a BBQ.
