Great Gma's Custard Party

Great Grandma Sax turns 90 this month and we all got together at Eckert's for some sweet cool treats.

All the kids running wild.

The guest of honor enjoying her treat.

PawPaw hid Hayden's shoe from him, so Hayden took PawPaw's shoe and tried to toss is over the fence(under advisement from from a witness to his own shoes theft).  This quickly turned into an entertaining game with all of the kids involved.

All of the little ones posing!

My little helper

Hayden has been helping me with some easy chores around the house.  Setting & clearing the table, separating the laundry, feeding the dog, and he does windows ;)

A break from the heat

We took advantage of a beautiful Aug day and headed out to the zoo and enjoyed the mild temps.

I don't think I have ever seen these guys awake!

This is what he was dying to see, the crocodile.

New Room

Hayden got new big boy furniture and a new room.  He wants to decorate his room with boats, so we are going to go shopping and see what we can find to spruce things up.  He loves sleeping in there and still stays in bed in the mornings until we come get him.  He gets "new" and "old" mixed up, so this is his "Old Room" to him :)

Can you tell he likes it?

3rd Birthday Party

Hayden wanted a Pirate Party this year!!  So we invited everyone over for some BBQ.  We went on a treasure hunt and searched for buried treasure in the back yard!  Hayden had a blast and loved every minute of it.  Luckily it had cooled off some by the evening and we were able to spend some time outside, but we had a little trouble competing with the noise from all of the cicadas.  They are so loud you can hear them over your car radio as you drive down the road.  All of the kids enjoyed playing with his new game "Pop-Up Pirate" after we headed inside to cool down.  A big thanks to everyone who celebrated with us.

 Arrrr!

Our last day - more Magic Kingdom

Our last full day in Orlando, and we spent it at the Magic Kingdom.  It was hot that day, and we started to get a little weary around dinner time.  We found somewhere air conditioned for dinner and rested up so that we could finish our day.  We rode all of our favorite rides again, some of them more than once.  We shopped our way down main street and out of the park in the evening.  We were sad to see our first family vacation to Disney World come to an end, but we were glad that we had a ton of memories to take home with us.

Hayden still wakes up every morning and asks me "What we going to see, Mommy?" or "Can we go to the Castle today?".  He really had a blast, and we got a kick out of seeing him experience the "magic"!!

On the ferry boat.

Daddy & Hayden rode "race cars" many times that day.

Hayden & Daddy built their very own Light Saber.

 Big Balloon!

Magic Kingdom Night

On Monday, we rested at the condo and Hayden took a long nap.  We went to Magic Kindgom after dinner and had the best visit to the parks of our trip.  We got to ride every ride we wanted to ride, and the only ride we really waited for was Peter Pan.  We saw a little of the Electrical Parade, but Hayden continued his disinterest in parades/shows and was more interested in the rides.  We closed the park and didn't get home until after midnight.  We had to cancel our early morning breakfast with Mickey, but we had so much fun that night it didn't matter.

 Hayden's favorite ride.

We were looking for the knights, but they were sleeping according to Hayden.

Crashed out with his Mickey Ears.  Name on the back, of course.
