Nice Shoes

I was just telling Jason that we need to head to the mall this weekend and get Mr. Chubby foot some new shoes, when I picked him up from Daycare yesterday he was sporting some new shoes already. Check 'em out.

He's telling me all about the horror he went through wearing the Barney Shoes.

Not only were they girl shoes, but they were also at least a size too big :)

I was having a less than great day, and these really gave me a good chuckle. His teachers explained that there was an incident involving a friend, some poo, and Hayden's shoes...I will leave it at that.

Bruiser

Walking/Running have been a little tough on poor Hayden's face lately. There was one week in July that I received a phone call every single day from DayCare because he had fallen on his head.

Chillin w/ Mommy before school.

The new pony is the coolest.

There is a scraped up forehead & nose behind that smile.

Milk drinking machine...3 Gallons a week.

Working on some molars with my Banana Toothbrush.

Giggles for Guinness.

A nice weekend at home

We celebrated Daddy's return to solid food with El Nopal, do you think he liked it?

Trip to the park. Playing on the rocks & picking up sticks was way more fun than the playground.

Guinness went too, he's resting in the shade.

Pointing at "That"

Still loves to swing...big giggles

He's a climber for sure.

Notice the baseball bat, its hard to take away some times.

Trouble.....

Father's Day

We did not do much on Father's day, since daddy was on the mend from having his wisdom teeth removed. We did pick out a nice ice cream cake for him to celebrate his day!

Chatter Box

Hayden is quite the talker, he keeps adding to his vocabulary.
He says can say most of the standards: dada, ball, hi, bye, uh-oh & that....still no mama/mommy(more like ja-ji-ji...Amy maybe?)

He also has some more advanced vocabulary: Light, Drink, Guinness(most animals are Guinness and they all growl), bat, just yesterday he went to the door and said "outside." When you call his name, he usually turns to you with a "Huh" or a "Yeah", which always cracks me up.

He has a favorite song that he will sing along with in the car, its one of Mommy's songs which is nice.

It's been a while since our last post, its been kind of nuts around here since our vacation. Illness, wisdom teeth removal, baby gate saga, ridiculous heat, & late night implementations for me have kept us all tired & crabby.

Beach Walking

Hayden decided that the Beach was a good place to finally become a toddler. He got lots of practice walking and hardly resorts to crawling any longer.

Last Day at the Beach

Hayden's Supermodel pose.
Jason and I took a cruise Friday afternoon. Here is the Merrill Lynch exec's house on Dafuskie Island. They only use it 3 weeks a year. Must be nice.

We got to see quite a few dolphins on our cruise.

Here is the famous lighthouse in Sea Pines.

Hayden decided late Wed that he liked the beach & the pool.

Hilton Head Vacation

After 14 hours in the car over two days we finally arrived at our Villa on Hilton Head Island, SC. Hayden was a real good boy in the car. So far everything has exceeded our expectations.
This facial expression sums up our overnight stay outside of Atlanta on Friday night. We reserved a crib, but "The crib is not for guests"? Needless to say, we did not get much sleep but just enough.

The view from our villa's balcony. Beautiful.

Entertainment while we get ready for the beach.

Not too sure of the waves.

Playing in the sand.

Look who we picked up along the way. Grammy is vacationing with us.

Looks like he's trying to start a fire, huh? This later became a snack.
