Man/Kid Cave

After much drama, time and cash our basement project is finally finished for everyone to enjoy.   Hayden loves having his own space to play in that he doesn't have to clean up, Daddy loves having his own TV, and Hudson and I enjoy the ocassional moments of peace and quiet on the main level while they are enjoying their new "cave"!

Hudson's 2 months old

Here are some photos of our sweet little 2 month old.  Big milestone this month was sleeping "through the night" most of the time and big cheesy smiles when tickled or talked to.  He continues to be a pretty good boy with ocassional evening crabbiness.  He sits in his high chair at dinner now and examines our mouths while we eat, he's very interested in eating....can you tell?

First Fishing trip

Hayden has been asking to go fishing for several months now.  Julie, Gary & Hannah got him a fishing pole for his birthday, so Daddy took him fishing.  Daddy says that he caught this fish all by himself.

First Trip to the Dentist

Hayden went to see Dr. John our new dentist for the first time.  He was an exceptional patient.  He had all of his teeth counted and polished.  His teeth all looked great, no cavities. 

Kirkwood Hockey

Hayden has been dying to play hockey, but before you can play hockey you have to learn to skate.  Luckily he got a few rounds of lessons this winter and spring and was able to skate the width of the rink all by himself.  So this summer we started Learn to Play Hockey with the Kirkwood Hockey Association.  He loves it!!  He asks us every morning if we are going to hockey school or not.  Since Daddy plays hockey now too, he gets to help out on the ice during the session.

4th Birthday

Our big boy Hayden turned 4 and we celebrated with a hockey themed birthday party.  He got this crown at school on his birthday and had to wear it for a few days after his birthday too!  He enjoyed his party very much and is very grateful for the company and the gifts.  It's hard for us to believe that it has been four years since we became parents to this caring, charming, inquisitive and incredibly funny boy!

Mother's Day Zoo Trip

The boys let mommy sleep in on Mother's Day and made her a very nice waffle breakfast!!  We had some lunch at the corner pub and then headed to the zoo because it was such a beautiful day for it.  The weather was amazing, high 70's, and all of the animal were out and about.  Hayden really had a great time asking us a million questions about the animals.  Hudson slept through most of it, but he will soon learn to appreciate the zoo too.
