Ice Skating

Jason and Hayden got geared up and went skating together for the first time the day after Thanksgiving.  Hayden had some trouble getting adjusted to balancing on skates, but they both had a blast.

Big Brother Hayden

According to Hayden the UPS man will be delivering a box with a little brother and sister for him in May.   We are still trying to convince him that he only gets one or the other and our baby likely won't come via UPS.  He's excited to get to be a big brother and wants to read all the books we have about being a brother over and over.  The baby will arrive no later than May 8th(c-section) and we are hoping no earlier than May 8th this time :)  We will have our big ultrasound right before Christmas to check on the baby and hopefully determine gender at that time.  We are all excited to become a family of four next year!

Happy Halloween

The 3 Year Olds at the Halloween Parade

Enjoying a sucker from Grammy.

Hayden went Trick or Treating with his friend from down the street.

Cardinals Celebration

We were just as amazed by the Cardinals post season run as everyone else in town.  I remember watching the scores update online while we were on vacation in Sept and getting excited about making it into the playoffs.  Several weeks later and many nights staying up past our usual bedtimes we were able to celebrate the Cardinals World Series victory this last Sunday.  Hayden was excited that he got to see Fredbird, the Rally Squirrel, Clydesdales and fireworks!!

Vacation Time!

We vacationed in Hilton Head again this year. We had such a great time we are already planning our next visit. This was our first trip in the "fall" and it was really nice to have the place to ourselves for the most part. The weather was in the low 80's most of the week and was beautiful.  We stopped at the GA Aquarium on our way down again this year and Hayden loved it.  We split most of our time on the island between the beach and the pool and we went on a Sunset Dolphin Cruise Thur night.  We had the boat to ourselves and it was the best tour of anything we have ever been on.  Our guide was really nice and was great with Hayden.  Since it was a negative low tide we were able to see the dolphins strand feeding several times in the salt marsh.  Strand feeding is where 3 or 4 dolphin work together to run their bait onto the shore and then they jump out into the mud on their side and gobble them up.  This was really amazing and is quite rare to get to see, there was even a boat out there with us with a bunch of fancy cameras capturing the dolphins.  Hayden was very excited to get to go on his first boat ride and got upset everytime we entered a no wake zone because he wanted to the boat to go faster.  What a great week creating new family memories and traditions, we are truly blessed.

Diving for fish in the baby pool.

 Hayden by the "Jungle Tree"
The boys flying a kite.  Hayden flew it by himself for quite a while, got distracted picking up a reed and it flew off into a tree.  Jason was able to retrieve it :)

The turtles in the lagoon at the condo were very hungry, so we fed them some crackers.

Great Gma's Custard Party

Great Grandma Sax turns 90 this month and we all got together at Eckert's for some sweet cool treats.

All the kids running wild.

The guest of honor enjoying her treat.

PawPaw hid Hayden's shoe from him, so Hayden took PawPaw's shoe and tried to toss is over the fence(under advisement from from a witness to his own shoes theft).  This quickly turned into an entertaining game with all of the kids involved.

All of the little ones posing!

My little helper

Hayden has been helping me with some easy chores around the house.  Setting & clearing the table, separating the laundry, feeding the dog, and he does windows ;)

A break from the heat

We took advantage of a beautiful Aug day and headed out to the zoo and enjoyed the mild temps.

I don't think I have ever seen these guys awake!

This is what he was dying to see, the crocodile.
